About this Book This is the first booklet in the KNOW YOUR INDIGENOUS PLANTS SERIES intended to highlight indigenous food resources in the Southern African region. This work has been inspired by our personal observation of the decline in the use of indigenous food plants by local/indigenous communities in the region. We believe such communities should stand to benefit from local resources and our main aim is to highlight the advantages of utilizing indigenous resources and indigenous knowledge.
